It's flu vaccination season, and so I wanted to give you the annual reminder of how/when to exercise after getting jabbed.
For the first 1-2 days, don't do any intensive exercise: by all means, walk to work, but avoid the gym or any serious training. There are reasons for this:
After the first 1-2 days, your metabolism and circulatory system normalise, and there's no harm in exercising. However, your deltoid is likely to stay weak from the injection for a few more days, so avoid shoulder-specific or overhead exercises for about a week.
If you have any questions, ask the nurse or doctor administering your vaccine, or email me directly via the contact page. For specific information on an injury you have, or for treatment, contact one of my clinics directly. You can find that information here.
